Geishas og Samurai

By Janne | May 18, 2009

Astri, søster mi, har nett opna nett-butikk: Velkommen!

Og kva er ein god interiørbutikk utan kunst? No sel ho nokre av mine bilete.

Desse er del av ein Asia-serie. Det er foto-collage, trykt på kanvas (med 85 års farge-garanti!) og innramma i ei flat, svart tre-ramme. Begge bileta er ca 30 x 45 cm.

Oh these are cool…wouldn’t it be fun to see them in the fancy house they end up in…you encourage me to do more Photoshop. In fact the class I just took on Photo shop collage helped me get free and try all kinds of silly buttons on the final cut pro movie program…I have never used so many different things..but with a animated silly thing I can just be FREE!!! so much fun.

They look so vintage! Does the Chinese writing actually translate into a poem or title or signature? Very nice

The writing is old Japanese calligraphy. I don´t know what it says, unfortunately, only that it is parts of old poetry.

And they are vintage photos originally. I´ve worked with the colors and added a layer of my sofa-cushion (!), made from chinese brocade silk amongst other things.
    Thanks for the compliments 🙂

The samurai is absolutely brilliant! I will be back…often…to see what you have done. Lovely work.
