Kjerstins dress, part 2
By Janne | April 23, 2009
I just had to post a couple more pictures of the black lace I am making for Kjerstins wedding dress. I was slightly nervous about the peacocks, but think it worked out nice. And it wasn´t as difficult as I feared.Â
I made a rough pattern on baking-paper…
…pinned down the white, fine tulle I sow the lace-pieces on to, and started the puzzle.
work in progress…
still some more…
…and done!
I have to make the dress in different pieces or part, and can´t put them together until next time Kjerstin is here for a fitting. Want to make sure it fits, as I dread it is impossible to undo when it is done.

How cool! You will not regret it. I am sure. If I go to Artfest next year, I´ll visit you on the way, and give a crash-course in “creative textiles” or something. Although, by then you´ll probably know all about it 🙂 Its the part of not being afraid to mess around with it, and allow oneself to make mistakes, that a lot of people are afraid of, and therefore loose so much fun and knowledge on the way. Congratulations! I will post pictures of the finished dress. (Do I have to wait until after the wedding??)

This looks fascinating and amazingly intricate. I really wish you had been around when I got married because I would definitely have hired you to create my dress.
